The Caroline Bindel Memorial Scholarship is for a graduating senior from McNeil High School who participated in cheer, dance team, or musical theater during high school who will be attending a four-year-university. Special consideration will be given to students studying engineering (though not required).

Caroline Joyce Bindel attended Patsy Sommer Elementary, Cedar Valley Middle School, Pearson Ranch Middle School, and McNeil High School (Class of 2023). Caroline was a performer–she danced her whole life, cheered at Pearson Ranch and McNeil, and dazzled in school musicals and theater productions. The summer after 8th grade, she was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive childhood cancer, malignant rhabdoid tumor, and died seven months later on January 23, 2020. Caroline dreamed of being an engineer and planned to go to Texas A&M.
