Tracy L. Gillies Memorial Scholarship

tracy-l-gillies-memorial-scholarship

Round Rock ISD students who have shown a commitment to volunteering in their community and making a positive impact on those around them.

Tracy Gillies was a warm, loving, and dedicated wife, mother of two beautiful girls, and trusted friend to many–touching the lives of those she loved and those she hardly knew. Tracy passed away in January of 2013 at the young age of 43, after a brief battle with brain cancer.

Tracy’s larger-than-life personality and charm was contagious and uplifting to everyone she met. She was passionate about giving back to the community in both her professional and personal life. Tracy served so many by volunteering in many different areas, most notably on the Round Rock ISD Bond Oversight Committee, the RRISD Council of PTA’s Executive Board, the Executive Committee for Brushy Creek Elementary PTA, and as an advisor to the Heart to Heart Gala benefiting the Sacred Heart Community Clinic where she devoted countless hours to making positive change and ensuring that people in need, particularly children, were taken care of.

Funds received will be used to support a scholarship for a deserving graduating senior who has shown a commitment to volunteering in their community and has made a positive impact on those around them.
