Student at Success High School pursuing Higher Education.

Marsha Swenson was a strong supporter of Success High School. She believed in giving people a second chance in life, which represents the school mascot. She believed in the strong value of higher education and continuing education. She had a passion for serving others, which explains why she chose the nursing field as her career. She also had an eagerness for sharing her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with most everyone she met.

Marsha graduated from Belton High School in 1970. She sought a career in the medical field and became a lab tech, working in microbiology and serology for seven years. She then returned to college and graduated from San Antonio College School of Nursing earning her certification as a Registered Nurse in 1984. She later through continuing education became a nurse case manager and was certified in rehabilitation nursing and case management. In February 2013, due to her breast cancer returning after being in remission for a short period of time, she was unable to continue working her business. Marsha passed away in July of 2014.

Marsha’s connection to Success High School and Round Rock ISD is through her husband Dan Swenson who has served as counselor at Success for the past 12 years. Friends of Dan and the staff of Success High School have been supportive of a scholarship specifically for students who attend Success High School pursuing Higher Education.
